Employment research report, The world's your oyster: employment trends for accountants in Australia has been launched as part of ACCA's centenary celebrations.
The report addresses the accountancy skills shortage across Australia; the types of jobs that are in demand and the locations where there are opportunities for accountants. For ACCA members who are considering emigrating, the report includes useful information about the types of visas for which they can apply.
Richard Francis, ACCA's head of Australia and New Zealand said, 'There is a severe shortage of trained accountants in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast. Accountants who have experience in the areas of Sarbanes-Oxley and IFRS are in high demand. Conditions have never been better, particularly for those looking to increase their seniority or gain skills in a new job.'
