 •Qualifications and Background
A good academic background;
ACCA qualified with post qualification experience and in particular working with limited companies in an Accountancy practice environment.
•Essential Experience/Skills
Accounts preparation for a variety of business organisations;
Audit planning, execution and reporting;
Financial forecasting and modelling – including business planning;
Responding to client needs in a technical support role i.e. VAT, PAYE queries, accountancy issues etc;
A working knowledge of corporate and personal taxation (the firm operates with a Tax Department staffed by qualified Tax Practitioners) in order to understand and consider implications when working with clients;
An ability to manage a small team of staff including scheduling their work, supporting their technical needs and advising and supporting them generally in their duties;
A solid practical knowledge of Sage Line 50 Accounting software;
•Desirable experience/skills (but not essential);
Preparing and submitting grant application and payment claims (AIG, RSA);
Corporate finance transactions;
Company secretarial matters;
Experience of undertaking tenders including making presentations to prospective clients;
Auditing European structural funds claims (ESF, ERDF)
Auditing and assisting not for profit organisations (charities);
