'One could say I was born into ACCA. My father was a certified accountant and was heavily involved in the Association in Ireland,' says David Leonard.

As President of ACCA in 1997-1998 David travelled widely, meeting members from around the world. 'I was struck by the diversity of members' backgrounds, ' he states when asked what he thinks differentiates ACCA accountants from other finance professionals. 'Because of our broad training, we all share an ability to see the other point of view,' he adds.
