ACCA LINKEDIN CORPORATE SECTOR GROUP

ACCA has formed a subgroup for corporate sector members on LinkedIn and this on-line community enables corporate sector members to share ideas, discuss topics, post questions and network with other like minded members. It's a very useful tool and easy to use. Signing up is quick and easy.

ACCA On-Line Guides

ACCA have put together guides to help support members in the Corporate Sector. To view all guides please visit GUIDES. Details of the Risk Register can be found on-line by clicking on Risk Register. If you require further information there are factsheets that are available or you can discuss any issue in confidence with the UK Advisory team 0207 059 5920.

ACCA and small business

If you are a small business or interested in starting up a small business then ACCA has put together some handy tips and factsheets which you will find useful. Go to the small business section of the website.

One consistently expressed need from ACCA members is for a simple straightforward guide to risk management.  In response to this need, one of ACCA's senior members, Mr. Tony Morton, has prepared a risk register which is aimed at smaller businesses which have reached the stage in their life cycle where the formality of a risk register has become a necessity.  To view this document please click on the RISK REGISTER.

Credit Management Matters

Cashflow is critical to business survival but all too often the day to day challenge of running a business, particularly a smaller business, can mean losing sight of some of the skills for successful cashflow management. This series of guides, developed in partnership with the Institute of Credit Management, is part of a series of initiatives providing practical support to help businesses help themselves through these difficult times. They are designed to provide straightforward and speedy advice with simple checklists and top tips. To view the series please click here.

Events/CPD

The Corporate Sector Network Panel (CSNP) organise 6 events on behalf of its members per year. The majority are held in London, with the remainder across the country. ACCA audio record these events where possible and place on the podcast section of the website. Please visit the podcast page to view all lectures recorded.

Attendance at these events is normally free but, as places are limited, you should book in advance to avoid disappointment. These events will constitute verifiable Continuing Professional Development (CPD) if the content is relevant to an individual's personal development plan. Please click here https://events.accaglobal.com to view these events.

ACCA UK also organises a detailed programme of CPD courses for members in the corporate sector. Call 020 7059 5910 to request a brochure or visit Professional Courses on-line.

Magazine

Monthly magazine A&B which covers all aspects concerning ACCA members has specific pages dedicated to the Corporate Sector and aims to keep members in the loop on topical issues and events happening in your area. A new e-magazine specifically for the corporate sector will be emailed to members quarterly. Make sure your contact details are up to date so you don't miss out.
