Interim management
Over the past few months ACCA UK has been working closely with the Institute of Interim Management (IIM). ACCA has recognised the growing trend for its members to work in the interim management area especially given the current economic climate.
The information below has been provided with the help of IIM and is applicable for members thinking of working in this area and those who are already working as an interim.
If you have any comments, questions or queries please e-mail Liz Meade liz.meade@uk.accaglobal.com or call on 0207 0595901. For further information please visit the IIM website.

ACCA Discuss was designed with members' networking and communication needs in mind. It's an easy way to share your views and information, ask for help or network with other interims. To register is easy - please visit ACCA Discuss and follow the instructions there.

PRACTISING CERTIFICATE
Are interim managers required to hold practising certificates? To help clarify your situation ACCA have put together a factsheet. View the fact sheet - Do I need a practising certificate?
For further information view the general information about practising certificates
ACCA would recommend, that if you are unsure about your situation, obtain a practising certificate. A practising certificate will also cover you for money laundering regulations.
If you do not have a practising certificate you may need to apply to HMRC. Please refer to the CCAB guidance or visit the CCAB website
If you are in any doubt concering your position please contact ACCA's Technical Advisory Team on 020 7059 5920. If you become an employee of the organisation whilst on an interim assignment you will not require a practising certificate.
