Personal Profile for ACCA website

Peter Bussey FCCA

As current Vice-President of the ACCA Norwich Members Network, I am looking forward to being involved in continuing to develop the excellent CPD program that has always been provided locally, and enhancing the awareness of other professionals of our presence through my participation in the NPIEG (Norfolk Professional Institutes Events Guide).

Away from the office I like to attend rock concerts, and participate in cycling and rugby to keep active, and spend time with my grandchild to keep me feeling young.  As well as a ‘gold’ blood donor, I also find time to spare as Treasurer for Connects & Co a local young carers charity.

After spending 2 years travelling literally around the world after my A levels, this gave me time to decide upon a worthwhile career, I returned to take up 3 years full-time study at Norwich City College for my ACCA qualifications.

Having commenced my career as a trainee accountant with Norwich Union, I then went on to work for the Corporation of Lloyds looking after Names’ funds, before taking up my current role as a senior accountant with the R G Carter Group, a large family run construction operation.
