SME funding adviser scheme

The SME (Small and Medium-sized Enterprise ) funding adviser scheme is a search tool that will enable UK businesses with fewer than 250 employees, and their advisers, to find appropriate funding advice in their locality.

The funding advisers will be drawn from ACCA members and firms who have the skills to advise SMEs in a number of specific areas. The specific areas catered for are:

  • Bank loans and overdrafts including small firms loan guarantee
  • Business plans for bank and equity finance and internal use
  • Business start-up including your own funds, friends and family
  • Small scale equity issues

To find out more about the specific areas please click on the link entitled specialisations.

This simple scheme will help growing, start-ups, other small businesses, and their intermediaries (Business Link, Banks, etc) address the barriers they face in finding advisers that are competent, experienced and professional.

Currently ACCA is recruiting firms to the scheme throughout its UK membership. We will launch the search tool in the first quarter of 2008. If you wish to find out more please click on the links on the side bar. If you are an ACCA UK member in practice and wish for your firm to join the scheme please visit the further details page. Where you can download and complete the SME funding adviser scheme opt-in form.
