Further details for ACCA members
The SME Funding Adviser Scheme is a new initiative from ACCA, and is supported by the UK Government. The scheme will enable smaller businesses to identify ACCA member firms and members in practice who provide independent advice on business finance.
The UK government seeks to encourage entrepreneurship and has introduced a number of initiatives to increase the choice of finance for start-up and growth businesses. As part of this initiative, we have been working with the Government and the ICAEW to ensure businesses have access to a wide choice of independent professional advisers across the UK on a whole range of business finance options.
This new scheme will help Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) identify the firms which ACCA members work for and are able to offer advice on their business finance options.
We will establish a link from the Finance and Grants page of the businesslink.gov website (the government's main source of web-based general business advice) directly to the SME funding adviser web search tool, in which your entry will appear. We will also promote the funding adviser search tool to various business intermediaries and the UK 's SME population as a whole.
The benefit to you is that your firm will directly, or through referral, acquire new business by demonstrating through this scheme that your firm has a high level of competency and interest in this area and also belong to a professional body with appropriate disciplinary and quality assurance systems.
To join this free scheme, you are required to download and complete the SME funding adviser opt-in form found on this page. The complete details of the scheme's specialisations are described on the specialisations page
