Interim management

ACCA recognises the growing trend for its members to work in the interim management area and with the help of the Institute of Interim Management (IIM) ACCA has put together some information which we hope you find helpful and informative.
The information below is applicable for members contemplating working in this area and those who are already working as an interim.

As part of our CDP programme for members, ACCA were pleased to co-host two joint events with IIM at the ACCA Head Quarters. Feedback on both events was extremely positive. To view the presentations given by the IIM at these two events please see the documents below.

PRACTISING CERTIFICATE

Are interim managers required to hold practising certificates? To help clarify your situation ACCA have put together a factsheet. ACCA would recommend, that if you are unsure about your situation, obtain a practising certificate. A practising certificate will also cover you for money laundering regulations.

If you do not have a practising certificate you may need to apply to HMRC. Please refer to the CCAB guidance or visit the CCAB website opens in a new window

If you are in any doubt concering your position please contact ACCA's Technical Advisory Team on 020 7059 5920. If you become an employee of the organisation whilst on an interim assignment you will not require a practising certificate.
